Rabbitstick, you don’t know what you’re missing…

If you know me personally, or have been reading my stuff here and elsewhere, you know I push the Rabbitstick event that takes place in southeast Idaho every September (see my complete post on it here from 2013). So why am I such a big fan? Because it’s a great place to learn and the fellowship most obviously if you read my earlier post.

But more than that, I don’t want YOU to go through the same pain I do. What pain is that you ask? To this day I still kick myself for not going years earlier. You know the saying… generally in life, its not the things you do you regret, its the things you don’t!

Pictures of just in the instructors, many make their livelihood in what they teach and are published. And you will most of them taking classes too, there are NO egos at Rabbit Stick.

Pictures of just in the instructors 2013, many make their livelihood in what they teach and are published. And you will see most of them taking classes too, there are NO egos at Rabbit Stick.

Where else can you learn from as many as 80 amazing instructors in the course of week for $300. Did I mention they feed you too, and it’s good eats! Classes cover the gamut — primitive skills such as braintanning, flintnapping, friction fire, bows & arrows, altatls & darts, crafts with plants, edible plants, pottery, netting and much more. But there are also modern skills such as knife making, modern survival, permaculture, and more.

I know some of you bushcrafters reading this are thinking this is a little to bush hippy for me. Well let me tell you what, some of those bush-hippies are living it and as such have some serious skills. At Rabbitstick you will also find academia, professionals and more than your fare share of fellow bushcrafters who have discovered Rabbitstick is a great place to learn. Egos are checked at the gate and everyone is there to learn and share. The fellowship is amazing!

And what now seems to have become a regular thing at Rabbitstick is many of the participants from television shows on The History Channel, Nat Geo, Discovery and other airwaves have found there way to Rabbitstick. I suspect I will be getting some flack for even mentioning this as I have been pretty critical about these shows. Nonetheless, I know some people love them and I will plead guilty to watching one of these shows (you rock Jose!) and as well as calling several others my good friends.

Early registration is ending soon, so do it now so you won’t regret it later! Link is below. I hope to see you there!
